Terms of Use
Last updated ·
These terms cover the TuneTray app and this website and explain the conditions you should understand when using TuneTray. Please read them before using the relevant features.
1. Purpose and beta status
TuneTray helps you collect song names or identify music first, then organize selected tracks into Apple Music playlists. It is not a general music player or a replacement for Apple Music or Shazam.
TuneTray is currently available as a TestFlight beta and has not launched on the App Store. Features, interfaces, available builds and beta places may change during testing.
2. Apple services and requirements
Some features require an Apple Account, relevant permissions, an active Apple Music subscription, a supported region and a network connection. Search, playback and playlist organization depend on Apple services’ actual availability and limits. A playlist must be editable to be an organization target.
Your use of Apple Music, ShazamKit and TestFlight is also subject to the applicable Apple service terms. TuneTray cannot guarantee that third-party services will always be available.
3. Check tracks before organizing
Text searches may automatically select the first result, and song recognition can be wrong. The same song name can refer to different artists, live recordings or album versions.
Before writing to playlists, check the songs, versions and target playlists. You can use “Search again” to replace a match. If search fails or returns no results, your original text is kept.
4. Cloud writes and local deletion
Batch organization can succeed only in part. A network interruption or service error can also leave the outcome of a write uncertain. If an operation fails or has an uncertain status, check the actual result in Apple Music before retrying, to avoid duplicate additions.
Deleting local records in TuneTray does not undo completed playlist writes or favorite actions. Manage those changes in Apple Music.
5. Reasonable use and music rights
Use TuneTray and related services lawfully and reasonably, respect intellectual property, and do not use them to infringe others’ rights or disrupt services.
Using TuneTray does not grant copyright or additional rights to music compositions, recordings, artwork or other third-party content. Those rights remain with their respective owners.
6. Service changes and your rights
We may change or discontinue parts of TuneTray or its beta service. Test builds may contain errors, interruptions or changing features. We cannot guarantee ongoing availability or that every operation will succeed.
These terms do not limit any rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
7. Updates, privacy and contact
Updates to these terms will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date. See the Privacy Policy for information about data handling.
For questions, open TuneTray in TestFlight and choose “Send Beta Feedback” to contact the TuneTray developer.
